RCT stands for Root Canal Treatment. It is a dental procedure used to treat infection or inflammation in the pulp of a tooth. During an RCT, the dentist removes the infected or damaged pulp, cleans and shapes the inside of the root canal, and then fills and seals the space. This helps to prevent further infection and saves the tooth from extraction. RCT is typically performed under local anesthesia and is a common procedure to relieve pain and save teeth that would otherwise need to be extracted. Dr Priyanka Khanna understands the concerns and fears of the patients, and hence she demonstrates the process thoroughly before starting the RCT procedures.
